1. Installation of Equipment
- A trolley is available for lifting heavy items, please see an Ipera staff member for assistance if installing heavy equipment.
2. Ordering Telco Services
- The termination point for 3rd party services is the MDF located on the Ground Floor, Colocation Room 1. Customers must submit a service request to Ipera to patch the service from the MDF to customer rack.
3. Racking Equipment
- All equipment should be mounted to the rack securely, do not stack unmounted equipment on top of mounted equipment.
- Use a shelf for equipment that cannot be rack-mounted.
4. Terminal equipment
- Customers must supply their own displays / keyboards for console access to equipment
2. Disposal of Rubbish
- All cardboard boxes, foam etc can be disposed of in the cleanaway bins at the side of the building, please see Ipera staff for directions to the bins.
2. Securing Equipment
- Before leaving, please ensure your rack is locked. If you don't have a key, see an Ipera Staff member to have the rack locked.
4. Afterhours Access
- Customers renting a full rack can access their equipment 24x7 via swipe card + PIN provided by Ipera. Customers renting a part-rack will need to call Ipera to arrange outside of hours access.
- Before accessing your equipment, you will need to disarm the building security system.
4.1 Alarm Panel Locations
- There are alarm panels at the foot of each flight of stairs in the IDC, near the Denison St entrance as well as the Carpark Wood St Entrance.
4.2 Alarm Areas
- To access colocation equipment outside of business-hours, disarm Area 3 (Colocation Room 2), and re-arm when finished.
4.3 Using the Alarm Panel
- To disarm an area, key in:

<4 DIGIT PIN> - [ON] - [Area No] - [ENTER]
5. General Rules
- Do not take food / drink / liquid into the colocation rooms
- Do not use any power tools inside the colocation rooms, including battery operated power tools.
- Do not interfere with other customer equipment
- Dispose of all rubbish
