How do I create and manage databases?

HSP Complete allows easy creation and management of MySQL or MSSQL databases from within the control panel.

Log into the HSP Complete control panel at http://hsp.ipera.net.au/cp

using the details provided to you at account setup.

  • Click on System from the navigation bar.

  • Select the domain you wish to work with.

  • Click Databases.

  • Click Add New Database.

  • You will be presented with the Add New Database configuration page. This page allows you to configure your database name and confirm that you are creating a MySQL database or MSSQL depending on your hosting package.
  • Once created, click Add New Database User. Adding a Database User creates a user account that your website can use to authenticate to the database.

  • You will be presented with the Add New Database User configuration page which allows you to specify a username and password for your database user
  • Once the database and database user have been created, the database can be managed using the inbuilt phpMyAdmin interface or ASPEnterprisemanager depending on your hosting package.
