Creating Domains

This How to will guide you through the steps to create and configure a new domain with physical hosting with Plesk Desktop.

Once logged into plesk you will be confronted with options to configure your account, In the "Tools" section of this page click the icon labeled add domain.png

 "Add new Domain" In the resulting page you have a number of options:

  • Domain Name
  • Select Template
  • Select an IP Address

Enter your domainname in the provided space, Tick "www" if you wish to use "www.yourdomain.com" and "yourdomain.com"
then select "create domain without template" and use the IP Address provided to you by Ipera Communications, Now select "OK" at the bottom of the page.

You will then be given 3 options "Physical hosting" "Standard forwarding" and "Frame forwarding", If you are using your Ipera hosting for a website select "physical hosting". If you only want to use the Ipera hosting for email and already have a website elsewhere choose the forwarding method that best suits your needs.
If you chose physical hosting you will be taken with to a page to set if you want to use SSL, FTP login details and which services you require this machine to use.

After this you will be taken to the configuration area of this newly created domain.

Congratulations you have now successfully added a new domain to plesk for use with hosting.
